My hair is naturally very, very wavy and thick and - generally - uncontrollable.
I've recently re-ombréd my hair which has left the ends in very bad condition. My hair is naturally jet black and I've got some of the very ends to a light blonde which was probably not very wise, so I've been trying to stay away from my hair straighteners! I don't like wearing my hair 'up' if I can help it, being so thick, I get headaches when it's in a topknot and it just looks weird in a standard ponytail in it's natural state.
So I fish plait. Aside from being really easy to do, it tames my wavy mane and also looks quite pretty and boho at the same time. If your hair is highlighted or ombréd or just generally has some colour running through it, it looks especially lovely and really draws attention to it!
Just a little bit more interesting than your average plait :)
Little tip: use a sea salt spray for extra grip!
